Located on a plateau overlooking the Adour river, the village of Orist has a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees mountains.
The Adour river borders the village to the north for approximately 5 km, providing visitors with lovely riverbank landscapes, such as Port Carrère, a former river port.
The Barthes stretches between the Adour river and the plateau. Its landscape is typical of flat and swampy alluvial flood plains, where horses, cattle and geese live side by side with unique wildlife (herons, egrets, storks, etc.).
